Analyzing CAT Mock Tests 2024
- VARC: Analyze this section just after you take the mock so you can remember the logic you used to answer the question and main idea of the RCs. For the questions you didn’t attempt, try to find the author’s idea, theme, and tone.
- DILR: For the correct attempts, see the solutions to get a faster/ alternative method. Checking solutions are necessary as they can help you solve other sets. For unattempted questions, do not see the answers right away. Take another shot at solving them, even if it takes 30-40 minutes.
- Quants: Analyze your errors into two parts: calculation mistakes and concept-based mistakes. Work accordingly. Also, keep an eye on your time. If you take more than 2 minutes to complete a question, see the solution to find an alternative method to solve.
- Strategies: Analyze how your strategies are working. It can be as simple as the order in which you attempt the questions, For example, RCs first or VA or targeting one topic of quants or the A-B-C method. Work on all the weak areas you discover while attempting a mock and study more. Have a structured approach to it the next time you give a mock.
