Launched in 2020, AltUni boasts of 1800 alumni who have upskilled themselves to improve their odds of earning higher incomes.

It’s a 100 Year Journey
This is a small step in our 100 year long journey. We will build an institution that will create an impact even hundred years from today. We wish to build a clean ed-tech company that will transform the quality of human capital of India.
We believe India will be the skills capital of the world. AltUni will build a program for every skill and job in the world.
AltUni believes in short periods of immersive learning online instead of remote programs that go on and on. By the time the program ends, the circumstances of the candidates’ life change, making the program redundant. We do not offer degrees or diplomas but a connection with the industry and an opportunity to interview with some of the top companies in India. We have worked with companies like Hindustan Unilever, TATACliq, Aditya Birla Capital and ECom Express as partners for our programs. We have also worked with universities like SDA Bocconi in Milan and SPJIMR in Mumbai to give an academic flavour to the learning where required.
Our legacy
InsideIIM.com was born in a hostel room at IIM Indore as a blog. Irked by the lack of credible information available to make career choices, Ankit Doshi created a content platform that brought students and industry professionals together.
It is now a decade old brand and we have helped millions of students and professionals make better career decisions. Over 50% of all CAT Takers are registered users of InsideIIM.com. Over 90% of all top business school students are our users. InsideIIM boasts of an alumni base of over 50,000 MBA graduates. Our Youtube channel serves over 15 Million views. Insidekampus.com hosts some of India’s top recruiters like TAS, RB, Asian Paints, Mahindra, HP, ITC etc. We also work with 40+ private universities and ed-tech platforms.
This trust and legacy is the perfect launching pad for AltUni’s exponential growth.
Community is our Backbone
InsideIIM.com remains the community backbone on which AltUni.in has been built. Our community attracts over half a million unique students and working professionals each month. The quality of content and career insights has helped us build trust among the community. It is this trust which has helped AltUni grow rapidly. Our first 1000 candidates have spent over 25k each on AltUni without us having to spend any money on marketing.
Long time users of InsideIIM know that our content and community differentiates us. Your support over the years has helped us get this far. Please continue to push us to improve. We know there are areas where you would want us to do better.
The additional capital gives us a chance to delight the community further. We will do everything in our power to build a deeper relationship with our users and justify the trust that all of you have put in us.
Women-led Growth
The team behind InsideIIM & AltUni has over 40% women and by October 2022 it will be well over 50%. We had made this announcement over a year back and we are going to achieve it ahead of schedule. Almost all major teams in the company are led by women. We believe that women leaders give AltUni and InsideIIM a foundational edge and we will go out of our way to hire more women.
About the Investors
We welcome angel investors Amit Gupta, Mukesh Maniar, Rahul Gupta, Gautam Gurnani, Rajit Desai, Vandana Serrao, Saloni Doshi, Suhani Doshi and Saurav Tibrewal who participated in this round. Gautam is a Dubai based Investment banker. Amit runs a trading firm in Dubai. They are both IIM Bangalore alumni. Mukesh Maniar is a partner at a top logistics firm based in Mumbai. Rajit Desai is a senior leader with one of India’s leading media agencies. Saurav is a Dubai based banker. 40% of investors in AltUni are women. Vandana Serrao is a Mangalore based doctor. Saloni Doshi is an ISB alumnus and Chief of Staff at a famous real estate start-up. Suhani Doshi is an IIM Kozhikode alumni and an analyst at a public markets fund. We are actively seeking more women investors to be on our cap table.

About The Founder
Ankit Doshi has spent a decade working in the Higher Education space. He is an alumnus of IIM Indore (Class of 2011) and has worked with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the past. He has bootstrapped the company profitably so far.
