Along with sales & marketing, operations & supply chain, and HR, one thing that often misses the eye for MBA graduates is the communication bit. Clear communication with the internal and external stakeholders involved plays a pivotal role in the smooth functioning of an organization. For a large scale company like Tata Steel, it becomes even more important to keep all the pieces of the puzzle in place, and thus an effective communication system is a prerequisite. In the final episode of the summer internship series we did with Tata Steel this year, we have Shradha Kailkhura from MICA Ahmedabad, who learned about the importance of communication in an organization like Tata Steel.

Shradha, belonging to the western part of the country, Gujarat, was pretty excited to be part of Tata Steel and her visit to the eastern part of the country, Jamshedpur for her internship this year. But, due to the lockdown and work from home norms, she couldn’t really manage to do that. What followed was a project that had to be carried out sitting in front of her computer screen at home and completing deliverables.
Watch Shradha revisiting her summer journey with Tata Steel in this video and tell us in the comment section below how your work from home experience been and what are the major challenges you faced.
