Meet Your Panelists: IIM Kozhikode Alumni Who Got A PPO From Their Dream Companies
What is the value of a PPO? Is it necessary to accept a PPO if it is offered? Is there a route apart from summer internships that can help you get a PPO? What do you need to do to convert your internship into a PPO? To help you find the right answers to questions like these, we bring to you a panel of IIM Kozhikode students and graduates who managed to convert their summer internships with companies like TAS, PwC, and Accenture into pre-placement offers.
Rozly Gupta (IIM K, Class of 2020): Rozly Gupta completed her MBA from IIM Kozhikode in 2020. She has done B.Com (Hons.) from Hansraj College in Delhi and worked for about two years in Career Launcher as a Marketing Executive. During her MBA, she interned with Accenture Strategy and got a PPO as a Management Consulting Analyst.
Leki Suam (IIM K, Class of 2020): A 2020 MBA graduate from IIM Kozhikode, Leki interned at Dr.Reddy's in the summer of 2019 and converted it to a PPO. Prior to MBA, he completed his Mechanical engineering from BIT Mesra Ranchi and has worked in the construction sector for 14 months. During his MBA, he enjoyed participating in corporate case competitions and has been featured in Dare2Compete's list of top 100 Competitive Leaders 2020. Presently, he is working as a Management Trainee under the Young Leaders' Program at Dr. Reddy's. Besides academics and professional life, he enjoys trying out musical instruments and endurance sports like cycling.
Satyaki Dutta (IIM K, Class of 2020): Satyaki is currently a Management Consultant with PwC Acceleration Center Bangalore in their Customer team, where he had also interned and was awarded a PPO. He graduated from IIM Kozhikode in 2020, with a focus on Strategy, Marketing, and IT. Before his MBA, Satyaki worked for a couple of years with PwC India in their Data & Analytics competency. He has consulted governments and corporates across sectors of Consumer Markets, Energy & Utilities, and Financial Services. In his leisure, Satyaki can be found reading a book, bingeing on web-series, or watching Discovery, Nat Geo, and History Channel.
Deepu Tiwari (IIM K, Class of 2021): Deepu is a final year student at IIM Kozhikode with 2 years of Analytics experience at EXL Analytics. He interned at PwC US Advisory (Strategy) where he worked with Strategy& team in US to manage the impact of COVID-19 on branch distribution network of a retail banking client. He will be joining PwC US Advisory in its Strategy Consulting competency as an Experienced Associate.
Naman Jain (IIM K, Class of 2021): Naman is currently a second-year PGP student at IIM Kozhikode. He is a Commerce graduate from Hansraj College, University of Delhi and has cleared CA-IPCC. He interned at Tata Strategic Management Group (TSMG) as part of Tata Administrative Services (TAS) program and received a PPO for the same. He enjoys participating in B-school competitions and is the National Winner of TAS Invictas and National Finalist of Accenture B-School Challenge. In free time, he enjoys graphic designing in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
