IIM Ahmedabad's 2022 placements report revealed that the highest salary for the batch of 2022 stood at a whopping 1.14 crores! Here are more details from IIM A's placement report, including key international and domestic salary figures, salaries by sector and function, as well as key recruitment figures around total job offers, locations, pre-placement offers, and the most sought-after profiles on campus.

- Fixed Yearly Cash Component: The total of the annual basic salary and additional guaranteed cash components. These additional components include cash payments and allowances that are part of the annual package. The term guaranteed signifies that the amount is certain unless, there is an overall pay revision. The components falling under this salary head are final and are not related to performance.
- One-time Cash Payment: Remuneration given to a candidate as one-time cash benefit mostly at the time of joining.
- Total Guaranteed Cash Component: Sum of fixed yearly cash component and one-time cash component.
- Maximum Earning Potential (MEP): Sum of total guaranteed cash component, maximum possible-linked variable pay and all other components of salary that are a part of the offer.

Overall Salary Figures | IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2022
1. The highest MEP stood at INR 1.14 crores, or approximately USD 141,000. As a direct comparison, this was a drop of about 8% over the previous year.
2. The highest domestic MEP stood at INR 61.49 lakhs, an increase of approx. 12% over the previous year.
3. The average overall MEP stood at INR 33.82 lakhs . The overall median salary stood at INR 31.59 lakhs .
4. The average and median domestic salaries were at INR 32.80 lakhs (19% growth) and INR 31.50 lakhs (14% growth), respectively.
5. The lowest salary in 2022 stood at INR 17.50 lakhs, increasing by a massive 60% over last year.
Sector and Function-Wise Salary Figures | IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2022
6. Function-wise, the top median domestic MEP was offered for roles in the Finance sector and stood at INR 32.61 lakhs. This was followed by Consulting at INR 32.50 lakhs, and Analytics at INR 32.00 lakhs.
7. Sector-wise, the top median domestic MEP was offered for a role in the Enterprise Tech sector, followed by Engineering/Technology (INR 33.21 lakhs) and Consulting (INR 32.50 lakhs).
8. Function-wise, the highest international MEP stood at $1,41,000 for General Management roles, followed by $105,100 for Finance roles.

9. A total of 382 offers were extended to the PGP batch, of which 375 were domestic job offers.
10. A total of 7 international offers were extended to the PGP batch, which fell from the 9 international offers in 2021 and 19 international offers in 2020. Offers were extended for roles in locations like the Hong Kong, the UAE, Mexico, and Asia-Pacific.
11. A total of 217 pre-placement offers (PPOs) were extended to the PGP batch. Of these, about 50% (105) were accepted.
12. Consulting was the most popular role at IIM Ahmedabad, with 56% the batch accepting offers for Consulting roles. This was followed by Product/Category Management (16%), and Finance roles (11%).
