IIM Ahmedabad's 2022 placements report is out! This year's audited report has revealed that the highest salary shot up to a whopping 1.14 crores. The average for the batch stood at 33.82 lakhs, while the lowest salary offered stood at 17.50 lakhs. IIM A Sees Highest Salary at 1.14 Crores, Lowest at 17.5 Lakhs in 2022
In 2022, the highest salary at IIM Ahmedabad shot-up to 1.14 crores, or approximately USD 141,000. As bizarre as it may seem, this is actually a
drop from USD 154,000 last year, and USD 180,000 in 2020.
The overall average salary stood at INR 33.82 lakhs, while the overall median salary stood at INR 31.59 lakhs. Amongst the top-three IIMs,
IIM Calcutta has recorded the highest average salary for the flagship MBA program.
The lowest salary at IIM Ahmedabad was still an impressive INR 17.50 lakhs, which is at par with the
average for the new IIMs in 2022.
14% Increase in Median Salary, 19% Increase in Average Salary at IIM A in 2022
The highest domestic salary for IIM A's batch of 2022 stood at an incredible INR 61.49 lakhs, rising by 12% over last year; though not the highest over a five-year period.
The average and median domestic salaries recorded were the highest-ever over the past five years, standing at INR 32.80 lakhs and INR 31.50 lakhs, respectively.
The average of the salaries for international offers stood at over USD 108,400, while the median stood at around USD 1,05,100.
Finance, Consulting, Analytics Top-Paying Profiles at IIM Ahmedabad
Finance and Consulting emerged as the top-paying profiles in terms of median salaries. The median salary for a Finance role stood at INR 32.61 lakhs, with Consulting not far behind at INR 32.50 lakhs.
The highest domestic offer, however, came for a Product Management/Category Management profile, and stood at INR 50.93 lakhs.
In terms of international offers, the highest salary stood at USD 141,000 for a General Management profile, followed by Finance (USD 105,100) and Product Management (USD 91,500).
Technology, Consulting Companies Emerge as Top Paymasters at IIM A in 2022
In 2022, the top salaries came from tech, with the median salaries by enterprise tech companies at INR 36.00 lakhs, and average at INR 40.61 lakhs. This was followed by Consulting, Online Services, and BFSI.

Consulting Roles Make-Up Whopping 56% of Accepted Offers at IIM Ahmedabad
As has been the case over the past few years, Consulting was
the most desirable profile for IIM A's MBA batch. More Consulting offers were accepted this year than the next
Affinity for Consulting actually grew tremendously over the previous year, with 46% of the batch opting for Consulting roles in 2021.
Product Management roles were also hot on the IIM A campus, with about 16% of the batch opting for these profiles. About 11% opted for Finance roles.
