IIM Ahmedabad has successfully completed the summer placements process for its PGP batch of 2020-2022. The institute conducted the summer placements process in three clusters, and the placements process was completed in a span of one week. Due to the pandemic, IIM Ahmedabad successfully completed the entire placements process virtually in 2020.

Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group Emerge As Top Recruiters In First Cluster
The firms that participated in Cluster 1 comprised of four cohorts – investment banking & markets, management consulting, advisory consulting and private equity, venture capital & asset management.
About 50 firms participated in the first cluster of the summer placements process at IIM Ahmedabad. Bain & Company was the top recruiter with 20 offers, followed by The Boston Consulting Group with 19 offers. Other prominent recruiters in the consulting domain included regular recruiters such as Accenture Strategy, Alvarez & Marsal, Arthur D Little, Auctus Advisors, GEP Consulting, Kearney, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, PwC and Strategy&.
Prominent recruiters in the Investment Banking and Markets space included Arpwood Capital, Avendus Capital, Bank of America, Citibank, Credit Suisse (Singapore and India), Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, HSBC, Morgan Stanley and Nomura India. Edelweiss Wealth Management was the highest recruiter in Investment Banking and Markets cohort with 10 offers.
The PE and VC domain saw participation from firms like Blackstone, Gaja Capital, IndiaRF, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Temasek and White Oak. True North was the highest recruiter in the PE/VC and Asset Management cohort with 4 offers.

Amazon Top Recruiter In Second Cluster, HUL Extends Maximum Offers In Consumer Goods/Durables Cohort
The firms that participated via online mode in Cluster 2 comprised of seven cohorts – Advertising & Media, Consumer Electronics, Consumer Goods & Durables, Consumer Services, Conglomerates, Retail B2B & B2C and Pharma–health care.
Over 40 firms participated in the second cluster of the summer placements process at IIM Ahmedabad. Overall, Amazon was the top recruiter with 14 offers.
Consumer Goods & Durables included regular recruiters like AB InBev, Asian Paints, Coca-Cola, Colgate, Dabur, HUL, ITC, Kimberly Clark, Mondelez, Nestle, P&G, Puma, Reckitt Benckiser, and Wipro Consumer Care amongst others. HUL was the top recruiter here with 13 offers.
The Consumer Services cohort saw participation of regular recruiters like Tata Sky and Airtel. Airtel was the top recruiter in the Consumer Services cohort with 5 offers. In the Consumer Electronics cohort, firms like Samsung Electronics and Lenovo participated. Samsung Electronics made the highest number of offers in the Consumer Electronics cohort - 6.
The Conglomerates cohort saw great participation from recruiters like Adani, Aditya Birla Group, Bajaj Group, JSW, Mahindra Group, RPG Group and TAS. Top recruiter in the Conglomerates cohort was TAS with 7 offers. In the Retail B2B & B2C space, firms like Amazon, Cloudtail, eShakti, Flipkart, Grofers, and Prione participated in the recruitment process. New recruiters in this cohort included Walmart Global Tech and Purplle.com.
In the Pharma – health care cohort, firms like Indigene, Stryker and Dr. Reddy’s participated. New recruiters in this cohort included Cipla, Philips and Bayer.
50 Firms Participate In Third Cluster, TCS Top Recruiter With 15 Offers
The firms that participated via online mode in Cluster 3 comprised of eleven cohorts – Banking & Insurance, Financial Services, Consumer Technology, Core Manufacturing & Infrastructure, Education Tech, Enterprise Tech, Food & Dairy, Govt. Enterprises, Analytics & IT Consulting, Renewable Energy & Green Tech and Social Enterprises & NGO.
Over 50 firms participated in cluster 3. Tata Consultancy Services was the top recruiter with 15 offers. The Consumer Tech cohort comprised firms like Info Edge, People Interactive, Razorpay and PayU. Vedanta was the highest recruiter in the Core Manufacturing & Infrastructure cohort with 6 offers.
Enterprise Tech consisted of companies like Adobe, Atlassian Corporation, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle and Sprinklr. The Renewable Energy and Green Tech cohort saw participation from Amplus Solar and ReNew Power.
Banking & Insurance sector saw participation from firms like Reserve Bank of India, ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. New recruiters included Atlassian, BPCL, DuPont, Everest Instruments, Oracle and Reserve Bank of India. Unacademy, a new recruiter, participated in the Education & Tech sector and extended 9 offers.
