The IIM Bangalore Final Placements 2019 report has been released by the institute! A total of 409 PGP students of the Class of 2019 participated in the Final Placements process at IIM Bangalore.
IIM Bangalore Final Placements 2019 - Highlights
- Median CTC (Domestic): ₹ 23.00 Lac p.a.
- Average CTC (Domestic): ₹ 24.54 Lac p.a.
- Median CTC (Overseas): ₹ 62.00 Lac p.a.
- Average CTC (Overseas): ₹ 62.30 Lac p.a.
- Accenture Strategy was the top recruiter at IIM Bangalore with a total of 30 offers, followed by marquee consulting firms A.T. Kearney, Bain & Co. and The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) handing out 14 offers each to the PGP Batch of 2017-2019.
- BCG and Bain & Co. offered the maximum number (10) of Pre-Placement Offers to the Class of 2019 at IIM Bangalore.
- A total of 488 offers were made by recruiters to the Class of 2019 at IIM Bangalore, including 15 overseas offers. 176 offers were made in the Final Placements week at IIM Bangalore.
- 129 companies participated in the Final Placements process at IIM-B.
- Top recruiters on campus included Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Deloitte USI, EY-Parthenon, McKinsey & Company, and the Aditya Birla Group among others.
- 35% of the batch opted for roles in the Consulting sector, making it the most sought-after sector at IIM Bangalore for the PGP Batch of 2017-2019. 13% of the batch opted for General Management roles, while 12% of the batch opted for roles in the IT sector, and another 12% opted for roles in the BFSI sector.

IIM Bangalore Final Placements 2019 - Consulting and BFSI
Roles in the Consulting domain were the most sought-after, with Consulting firms making 161 offers to the PGP Batch of 2017-2019. Accenture Strategy made the maximum number of offers (30 offers), followed by Deloitte (25 offers). In the Technology Consulting domain, top recruiters included PwC (12 offers), followed by L&T Infotech Consulting (4 offers).
In the Finance domain, a total of 54 offers were made, with ICICI Bank making the maximum number of offers (8), followed by Goldman Sachs (7).
IIM Bangalore Final Placements 2019 - Sales & Marketing and General Management
The PGP Batch of 2017-2019 received 47 Sales & Marketing offers, with AB InBev and Samsung making the maximum number of offers (9 each).
40 General Management roles were offered to the Class of 2019 at IIM Bangalore, with the Adani Group leading with 7 offers, followed by TAS (6) and ABG (6).
IIM Bangalore Final Placements 2019 - Business Analytics & IT
For Business Analytics roles, a total of 32 offers were made, with EXL Service making a total of 9 offers, followed by WNS Global with 5 offers.
In the Information Technology domain, a total of 41 offers were made to the Class of 2019, with Microsoft making the maximum number of offers (7), followed by Reliance Jio (5).
IIM Bangalore Final Placements 2019 - Operations and E-Commerce
A total of 18 offers for Operations roles were made to the PGP batch of 2017-2019, with Bharti Airtel and Uber making the maximum number of offers (4 each).
In the E-Commerce space, a total of 52 offers were made by companies, with Amazon leading the pack with 16 offers, followed by Ritesh Aggarwal's Oyo Rooms making a total of 10 offers to the Class of 2019 at IIM-B. Flipkart made 8 offers at the institute, and its fashion and lifestyle subsidiary Myntra made a total of 7 offers.
