IIM Calcutta has successfully completed the final placement process for the class of 2022, placing its 465-strong batch. IIM Calcutta has recorded tremendous placement figures this final placements season, and saw an impressive 17 percent increase in the average salary offered, while the median salary increased by 14 percent over the previous year and stood at INR 31 lakhs. A total of 190 recruiters participated in the final placements process, including top brands like McKinsey & Co., TAS, Amazon, Unilever, Goldman Sachs and many others. - The average salary offered stood at INR 34 LPA, which is a 17% increase over the previous year.
- The median salary stood at INR 31 LPA, which is a 14% increase over the previous year.
- 190 recruiters took part in the final placement process, including new recruiters such as IIFL, Zomato, Nykaa, Microsoft, PayTM, Flipkart and Amazon
- 631 offers were made to 465 students.
IIM Calcutta Placements 2022 - Recruitment Highlights and Function Wise Recruiters
In 2022, the consulting sector once again emerged as the top recruiter, with 49 per cent of offers being raised in the domain.Companies such as Accenture Strategy, Bain and Company, Boston Consulting Group, EY Parthenon, and McKinsey and Company recruited the most number of students.
Sectors such as marquee asset management, investment banking, and private equity-venture capital firms together made 18 percent of the total number of offers.Goldman Sachs and Avendus made the highest offers within this cohort
For the General Management and Marketing Fields companies like Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Nestle, Procter & Gamble and Tata Administrative Services were prominent recruiters out of the 14% offers made.
With top recruiters including Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft and Paytm, among others, the Product Management and Operations domains made 19% of overall offers.
Many new recruiters such as IIFL, Nykaa, Premji Invest, Rothschild, Zomato offered job opportunities to IIM Calcutta students. The placement drive also saw international offers being made from companies such as Emaar, Protiviti among others.
