IIM Tiruchirappalli – The Right Choice!

Why and how did you choose IIM Trichy?

It all started in the final year of my Engineering when I had decided to do an MBA. Initially when I looked at the various selection criteria of the Premier B-Schools, the difficulty of the exam, the competition during the interviews, it felt like taking a step towards making the impossible, possible. After a lot of planning and a decent amount of execution, the D-day had finally arrived. I knew I that I had given a decent attempt and that there was a possibility of me making it to the interviews. The interviews were a roller coaster ride, every interview had a takeaway and a learning point. Finally, after a long and anxious wait, the results started pouring in.

I had to choose from a decent pool of colleges which included some of the IIM’s and other Top Private B-Schools. I started analyzing and weighing all my options, I spoke to students and alumni from various colleges but the response I got about IIM Tiruchirappalli was the most consistent and the best feedback. In the feedback everyone was giving me they spoke very highly of the state of the art infrastructure, highly knowledgeable and approachable faculty, diversity in students in terms of academic backgrounds, gender, work experience and cultures. Most importantly, I could see that the rate at which the institute was growing since its inception despite it being a new very young. This spoke volumes about the quality of the students, the staff and everyone who gave in their best efforts to make the flag of IIM Trichy fly sky high.

I am someone who believes that learning is endless and it tops my checklist of what I was looking to get from a B-School. Learning which is not limited to academics but more holistic. After all the research, I felt IIM Trichy was the place I was looking for and the place I wanted to be for the next two years. There were some relatively older IIMs and some very old and renowned Private B-Schools I choose to let go to be at IIM Trichy. But, there has not been a single moment when I questioned my decision in choosing to join IIM Trichy. Now that I am at IIM Trichy and can practically see the reasons for Trichy’s progress, the efforts that every person on the campus is putting to place the college on the next pedestal. This has only strengthened my conviction to be a part of and contribute to this amazing journey of IIM Trichy.

Which Aditya Birla Group Company would you want to work for and why?

Idea cellular has been performing consistently right since its inception in 1995. It is among the top 3 service providers in the country. But the thing that appeals me the most about Idea Cellular is the creativity in their advertisement campaigns. They are famous for their advertisements that are unique, catchy and difficult to forget.

The diversity in the genre funny, informative, gripping and provocative trying to elicit a response in the audience makes them most appealing. If given an opportunity I would like to work with the Idea Cellular group.
