Imagine working in a company wherein less than 5 years you get to be in an HR role, a sales, and marketing role and move to a strategy role. All of this at the very early stage of your career! A taste of different worlds while being at the same organization and learning the nuances of the overall business step by step! This is exactly what XLRI Jamshedpur graduate Akshay Gupta got after joining Mahindra. In today's video, we will meet this miracle of Mahindra, who did not only pick the business fast but worked towards developing his ‘General Management’ capabilities.

Right from his B-school days Akshay took part actively in competitions and organized campaigns giving him an idea about the world that he was planning to get into. He took part in the prestigious Mahindra GMC program and the seed of a future leader was born. From taking up Executive Assistant to Chief Human Resource Officer role to hardcore sales, the shift for Akshay happened quite early in his career. While working as an Area Sales Manager for small commercial vehicles in the automotive division, Akshay was responsible for 15 crores of turnover every month managing over 200 dealership members. He then moved on to more strategic roles and became part of a lot of new offerings from the Mahindra Automotive division.
From strategizing to branding to taking customer feedback he went gung-ho with his efforts to take the sales growth further.
