First impressions matter. And when in b-school, making a favorable first impression on your interviewers, colleagues, professors and alumni is super important. How do you make sure that your first impression then is a lasting impression? How do you convey to the people that matter, that you matter too? In this video MICAns tells us why first impressions matter and how you can “brand” yourself.

  *This is a promoted feature

Summary Of The Video:

In this video, meet various MICAns  who tell you how you can build a brand out if “yourself.” Be it Sachin Tendulkar, Ratan Tata or Oprah Winfrey, these people stand for unique qualities and characteristics. They are loved, adored and trusted by people all over the world for how they conduct themselves publicly. In this video, learn how you too can create a lasting impression in a similar manner.   B-school interviews, campus interactions, presentations, placements, all of these require leaving a favourable first impression. And all these start with the zero moment of truth. A strong CV that leaves a positive impression constitutes a positive zero moment of truth.   There are the 4 stages of the consumer journey, or the AIDA model. Awareness, interest, desire and action are these 4 stages. In the case of interviews, the interviewer first becomes aware of you through your CV. After a positive impression is formed, he calls shows interest by shortlisting you for an interview. During the interview, the desire to work with you is made clear. And finally, if all goes well, the interviewer may hire you/ grant you a place in the b-school.   Finally, it’s imperative to know how to start a conversation that shines a positive light on you during interviews. For this you must bring out that passionate aspect of your personality that you know you will be able to do justice to. To leave a favourable impression, you must make sure that the brand tattoo that you leave in the interviewer’s brain is positive.
