Regarded amongst India’s most inspiring and influential business leaders, Nandita Gurjar is the perfect example to showcase that it’s never too late to start, identifying what you like and making it big. Starting to work relatively late at the age of 30 as a software programmer, Nandita soon realized her calling and gradually moved from programming to customer documentation and training over a span of 8 years. In 1999, she joined Infosys as the Head of Learning & Development and within a span of 8 years, she became the Global Head of HR, upscaling the entire HR department and managing people functions for more than 1.5L employees. All this while managing her 2 children!!     Starting to work relatively late, managing children with work, and changing tracks post working as a software programmer, Nandita was ready to take on every battle that came her way, which reflects in her favorite quote “Your attitude almost always defines your altitude in life”.


Nandita teaches us that it’s never too late to do what you like and that taking risks is a part and parcel of life.  Being an experienced campaigner in the HR industry, Nandita believes that the next big thing in the HR industry is going to be Artificial Intelligence, Empathy, and Analytics.

One thing amongst many others that we learned from Nandita’s journey is that one shouldn’t shy away from taking risks and doing what one likes.
