Neel Savla is an MBA student at NMIMS Mumbai. He has prior work experience in the analytics domain and has successfully led General Mills' pet segment. Neel has held notable leadership roles, including serving as the PR head at TEDxCRCE and as the secretary at the Toastmasters Club. During his internship with Godrej and Boyce, he made valuable contributions to their business excellence department, further enhancing his expertise. Neel's dedication to social causes is evident through his active engagement with various NGOs.Currently, Neel is preparing for the CFA Level 3 examination in August, showcasing his passion for finance and his intention to specialize in this field during his MBA studies. He plans to apply his expertise in finance and analytics by actively participating in corporate and B-school competitions, aiming to excel and demonstrate his financial acumen and analytical skills. Neel Savla tackles complex problems with a belief in simplicity. He shared an example from a 12th-grade electronics competition, where he created a Digital Propeller Display using LEDs. Breaking down the complexity into tasks, he meticulously addressed each one, emphasizing the importance of a systematic approach, meticulous planning, and perseverance. Handling failure, Neel emphasizes overcoming guilt, embracing feedback, and charting a path forward. He sees failure as a natural part of learning and focuses on learning from mistakes, incorporating feedback, and setting achievable goals. In an ethical dilemma at work, Neel chose honesty over personal gain. When entrusted with a project after a senior's departure, he credited the senior during the presentation, strengthening integrity, fostering a connection with the senior, and gaining valuable mentorship. Discussing negotiation, Neel faced a situation at General Mills where stakeholders requested a replica dashboard. He sought guidance from his manager, built two prototypes, and presented multiple options to stakeholders. This experience highlighted the importance of providing clarity to stakeholders and seeking guidance from mentors in negotiations. For the candidacy as one of India's Most Promising Incoming MBA Students 2023, Neel emphasizes clarity in his career path, a strong foundation from previous experiences, diverse experiences in leadership roles, adaptability, and resilience. He believes these qualities make him well-suited for the challenges of an MBA program.
