Preet is a fun-loving person and is inquisitive in learning and talking to different people. He believes in active participation in all the activities floated to him and thrives to complete them within deadlines. He goes the extra mile for his team and always feels happy by helping others. He loves anchoring and dancing as if no one is watching him. The door of his hostel room is always open and anyone can just go and have a chat with him. Preet Tejwani took the initiative to address the manual sign-in process at his institute during his MBA program. Recognizing the inefficiency of manual register entries for student entry and exit, he proposed the implementation of a Biometric Fingerprint Sensor at the main entry gate. This initiative not only demonstrated his problem-solving skills but also showcased his ability to negotiate and present concerns to higher authorities, contributing to the student community and his personal and professional development.
As the General Secretary of IIM Kashipur, Preet oversees 40+ student bodies, responsible for strategic decision-making, budget management, and acting as a liaison between the administration and 800+ students. This leadership role has honed his prioritization, time management, and adaptability skills, making him confident about fitting into any professional setting.
Preet plans to leverage his MBA skills in future careers by applying strategic decision-making, problem-solving, effective communication, and change management. He emphasizes the importance of being a team player and leader, knowing when to switch roles, and contributing to organizational development. Preet sees himself as a good fit for investment banking firms and consulting companies due to his interest in the challenging and knowledge-intensive nature of their work.
His approach to teamwork involves creating a supportive and trustworthy environment within the team, fostering positive culture, and valuing the synergy of collective efforts. Preet's collaborative approach has contributed to successful outcomes and a positive team culture, as seen in his example from the Alumni Relations Committee at IIM Kashipur.
