Satkirat is an individual who has been an achiever all his life be it on the academic as well as the extracurricular front. An engineer by profession, he was the Vice Captain of the team that secured the National 2nd rank at the Mahindra SAE BAJA 2018 during his Undergrad. Because of his interpersonal and communication skills, he was 1 out of the 110 Graduate Engineer Trainees at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India who were offered the Sales and Marketing role. Having worked there for almost 2 years, he moved on to pursue his MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. With his keenness to gain knowledge, interact with people, gain exposure, and explore, he was selected to go for a Student Exchange Semester at the Rennes School of Business, France. At IIFT, he is amongst the Top 3 performers in the entire batch. Apart from academics, he has received several accolades at the National Level in several Corporate Case Competitions like Amazon Ace, Accenture B-School Strategy Challenge, Baja Finserv Atom, and many others. Having done his Summer Internship at Amazon, he has gained great exposure in the Corporate world in the General Management Role and further aims to reach greater heights.
Satkirat Singh led Team Accelerators to become National Finalists in the Amazon Ace Challenge 2022 during his MBA. This achievement was driven by clear goals, efficient communication, and effective delegation of tasks. Satkirat's commitment to the project enhanced his decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills, fostering a sense of responsibility and accountability.
His leadership skills extend to diverse areas, including managing logistics for a Student Exchange Programme to Europe and achieving a top-ranking in academics. Satkirat envisions applying these skills in a professional setting through goal setting, project planning, fostering a supportive culture, decision-making, team management, conflict resolution, mentorship, and being approachable. He sees leadership as a continuous process and believes his MBA foundation will contribute to future success.
Leveraging his MBA skills, Satkirat emphasizes creating a positive impact on team performance, contributing to project success, and utilizing strategic decision-making abilities. He draws on his experience as a top-performing intern at Amazon, where his suggestions were implemented and yielded positive results. His skills in market research, effective marketing campaigns, negotiation, and an entrepreneurial mindset position him as a valuable asset to a company.
Satkirat's preferred industries include International Business, consulting firms, and companies working with global clients. He believes his problem-solving skills, commitment to growth, and understanding of international markets align with the needs of consulting firms. His global business education makes him well-suited for expanding a company's presence in international markets.
In terms of teamwork, Satkirat's approach involves effective coordination, task delegation based on strengths, fostering a collaborative environment, and open communication. His leadership has contributed to notable achievements, including being National Finalists in the Amazon Ace Challenge, National Semi-Finalists in Accenture Strategy B School Challenge, and achieving recognition in various college-level competitions.
