In the past two years, SNAP has come down from a 2 hour paper to a 1 hour paper. While the number of questions have come down from 105 to 60 questions, the time per question has also come down. This means that speed needs to be at the core of your SNAP attempt strategy, while also being careful about the 0.25 negative marking. One of the ways to quick while selecting and solving questions is to know what type of questions appear on the SNAP exam in the first place. To help you with this, we've broken down the types of questions that have appeared on the SNAP exam in 2020 and 2021, across all three sections.

Arithmetic the Most Tested QA Topic in the Past Two Years

The SNAP exam has tested Arithmetic the most in the past two years, across all three slots. About 47% and 35% of the QA questions in SNAP 2020 and 2021 were from Arithmetic, respectively. Within Arithmetic, the most tested topic is the very basics of Arithmetic - percentages, profit and loss. Other very high-scoring Arithmetic areas include time and work, time, speed and distance, ratios and proportions, and averages, mixtures and alligations. If you've prepared Arithmetic for CAT, you should be able to sail through most of these questions in SNAP.

Moderns Maths, which includes P&C, Probability, and Logarithms (for SNAP), makes up about 20% of the QA section. Probability is particularly important, followed by P&C. If you're comfortable with these topics, the questions are quite solvable.

DI is followed by Geometry and Mensuration. Mensuration is a key focus area here, with Mensuration questions featuring frequently in the SNAP exam. Please note that Geometry also includes topics like co-ordinate geometry and trigonometry.

Number Series, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations Most Tested Logical Reasoning Topics

In the past two years, questions around number series have been tested the most in the LR section, followed by questions around coding-decoding. These haven't been particularly challenging in the past exams and are low-hanging fruit for test-takers. Questions around blood relations have also been frequently tested in the past two years, along with questions around clocks and calendars. Definitely an area to brush up on before appearing for SNAP 2022.

Fill in the Blanks, Identifying Parts of Speech, Idioms and Phrases Most Tested Verbal Ability Topics

One of the big focus areas for SNAP verbal is grammar, especially questions around identifying the parts of speech such as nouns, pronouns, conjunctions, prepositions, etc. If you know the basics, these questions can be attempted very easily and can elevate your sectional and overall score. Then, there are fill-in-the-blanks format of questions which are, for most part, very doable and scoring. Though reading passages haven't been seen in SNAP in the past few years, it's best to be prepared for RC sets in SNAP 2022.
