S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) has released the latest selection criteria for admissions into the flagship PGDM programme in 2020. Candidates can apply to SPJIMR through their CAT, XAT, or GMAT scores. The institute continues to give great importance to a candidate's academic record and work experience. Here's how the latest SPJIMR selection criteria for 2020 affect your chances of getting shortlisted by the institute.
Registrations for SPJIMR's PGDM programme will begin on 19th September 2019 and will close on 22nd November 2019. Please note that once you have your XAT/CAT scores, you will be intimated by the institute to update the scores in the application form.
SPJIMR will shortlist candidates for the PGDM programme in two rounds. First, candidates will be given profile-based calls, provided they meet the minimum sectional cut-offs as explained below. Once profile-based shortlists have been made, candidates will be shortlisted based on their profile-cum-exam scores.
Profile-based calls will be made bearing the following selection criteria in mind:
» Consistency of academic record.
» The relevance of work experience or justification provided for the specialization.
» Versatility and achievements.

If candidates meet the minimum cut-offs, they can become eligible for the second phase of the admissions process at SPJIMR, i.e., profile-based calls. To be eligible for a profile-based call from SPJIMR in 2020, candidates must:
Show consistently excellent academic record throughout SSC, HSC and graduation.
Have relevant work experience for the specialization they have chosen. Candidates must have work experience in the range of 0-60 months (0-5 years) and not more than that. Only Relevant work experience after graduation will be considered. Internship/training/project work which was a part of the curriculum will not be considered as work experience.
Display versatility and remarkable extra-curricular achievements.
Candidates not shortlisted via profile-based calls will receive profile-cum-score-based calls, depending on their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT and their overall academic profile.
The final list of candidates will be created by taking into account the applicant’s profile, academic record, entrance test scores (CAT/XAT/GMAT), the relevance of work experience (if any), performance in the Written Ability Test and the two rounds of group interviews.
