Hi, Tell us about how you got selected for this internship? Take us through the moment you realized you had got the internship.
It was 24th November 2020, when I got a mail for the interview. Till that time, the company might have done the first stage Shortlisting process. Since, we are the batch for whom each and every process was virtual, I was skeptical about how will I perform, yet thinking that I should give my best by hook or by crook. I was asked to wait in the board room where a few others were also present. to my surprise the number of shortlisted candidates for the interview were a very few. I was extremely happy as well as anxious to see that. I was the second person whom they called for the interview. Talking about the interview, it was a very interactive onw, I would say. Since I had a decent work experience before MBA, most questions were asked pertaining to my work ex only and after that some HR questions. The interview was good I would as I could answer most of the questions. I got to know that I had been selected for the internship on 27th November, 2020. Trust me, it was the happiest day of my first year and My father's birthday as well. So it was a quite a joyous moment for me!
On joining the company as an intern, how has your onboarding experience been like?
The onboarding process has been very smooth and hassle free. The HRs have been very friendly and has left no stone untouched to take care of the interns. It has been really a very good experience for me. The brand of the company gets reflected by the overall conduct of the onboarding process!
How has your interaction with the team members and colleagues been like? How will you make sure to leave the best impression on your supervisors by the end of the internship?
Right from the starting of onboarding process till date, the interaction with the teammates , project buddy and mentor has been extremely enriching, I would say! I know I ham with the company for mere 2 months but it feels like an employee when it comes to work. The amount of flexibility and ownership I am getting from the project is unparalleled! Its been a very memorable journey till now.
Tell us in brief, about the project you are currently working on and how is this project going to help the company?
I am very lucky that the project allotted to me is very dynamic and appropriate considering the current scenario. I have been asked to make a detailed vaccination drive for a certain business vertical of the company. My strategy should be such that the drive does not hamper the business continuity and yet employees get vaccinated. So , in a nut shell, this project I believe is really good to enhance my skillsets in operations and strategy!

Give us an overview of how you prepared for your summer placement season.
Summer Placement preparations Starts the very day you enter into a B-School! I kept a very simple strategy! I kept myself updated with the recent happenings around the world and kept a notecopy for it. I used to read quite a lot of newspapers to be aware of the facts and figures(trust me this really works!). Apart from that, I spared a lot of time in making my CV, because for the summer placements, the companies look at what you have done in your past and how different are you from others. My seniors also helped me a lot in giving insights about the virtual placement process and the etiquettes to be followed for it.
Based on your internship experience till now, what are some necessary skill sets one must be prepared with before starting an internship?
As far as my experience till now, one must be very good at communication skills. By communication skills I mean to say, he/she should be able to express his/her views to the mentor and how exactly is the intern thinking about the project. One must be skilled in excel as well because eventually you will have to deal with lots of data. Apart from that regularity and punctuality is what is desired from the interns!
What are some new skills that you have developed while working in the company?
I have been learning a lot of data modelling tools and yes excel as well.
