Well quite easy to say but really difficult to believe.
Cracked 2 PPIs through case study competitions and reached the final rounds of 5 companies rather the best of the lot but converted NONE.
Disheartened and de-motivated I started applying from other sources as well and what would have been better than Linkedin? Saw a post from the HR of ZOMATO seeking applications for a 3-month Internship.I was like I am applying here for sure and the first thing it asked for was a 2 min video about anything and everything you wish to speak about. And I made it, half the battle was won there as people are really hesitant towards making a video of themselves and sending. The video was bang on, I was quite confident that I would definitely get a call for further process.
Within the next 3 days, I got a call from HR for scheduling an interview and I was at cloud 9. The interview lasted for almost 30-40 mins and I talked my heart out, past present, and future. Halfway down the interview, I knew I would make it and the response of the interviewer made me believe that even more firmly. Lastly, the interviewer closed the conversation by stating "Rushabh, we would be glad to have you on board. You shall receive the offer letter by EOD."
And then I actually realized that indeed everything (failures) happens for our own good. As I was going to be a part of the giant food tech - ZOMATO and was going to be a member of the Zoman world.
On joining the company as an intern, how has your onboarding experience been like?
The onboarding experience was amazing, for once I felt like I was being onboarded as a permanent employee and not an intern.
Receiving of the Laptop and goodies within 3 days, orientation, and the ice-breaking sessions made me fall in love with the culture of the company. And yeah got the Zoman citizenship

-Reach: This depends on how many unique people have read your internship experience once we publish the article. We maintain fair play, we will publish all the articles on the same day, so that you can also share the same in your network.
- There is also a title called, ‘Campus With The Most Interesting Interns’ that will be awarded to (a) the campus that submits the maximum number of entries and (b) the campus that submits the best quality entries (based on the score given by our judges). The minimum entries from campus to be considered for this title is 10. So, if you want your campus to win the title then make sure your classmates and other students from your b school share their experiences in this year's Summer Saga Competition.
