IIM Ahmedabad has started their Summer Placement Process on 6th November and the process will go on till 12th November, 2017. IIM Ahmedabad follows a cluster cohort placement process wherein companies offering similar profiles are grouped into cohorts, and several cohorts are invited to the campus in a particular cluster. The schedule for placements this year is as follows:
Cluster 1: 6th November 2017
Cluster 2: 9th November
2017
Cluster 3: 12th November 2017
Okay, let's get to Cluster 1. Cluster 1 saw companies for Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Hedge Funds.
More than 35 Companies came to recruit for Summer Placements for this Cluster. Here's the list -

Some highlights -
- Accenture Strategy was the top recruiter with 19 offers.
- Avendus Capital and Citibank made 5 offers each across various roles.
Let's get to Cluster 2 now. Cluster 2 comprised of companies dealing with either Consumer Goods or General Management & Leadership or Government Enterprises, or Advisory Consulting or Consumer Services.
More than 45 companies participated in this cluster. Here's the list -

Some highlights -
- AB InBev made 9 offers, Airtel and HUL made 8 offers each, while P&G and Star TV made 7 offers each.
- The RPG Group made 14 offers whereas the Aditya Birla Group made 10 offers. 24 offers between 2 companies is a stupendous number!
- The two E-Commerce Kings of India made 20 offers in total. Amazon extended 12 offers and Flipkart made 8 offers.
Based on the highlights as per the press release, at least 8 students are placed.

Cluster 3 consisted of companies under Consumer Technology, Pharma and Healthcare, Social Enterprises and NGOs, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance, Core Manufacturing et al.
