Recently, we released the list of the Top-45 Most Desirable Business Schools in 2019, with the top-5 spots being occupied by IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Bangalore, FMS Delhi and XLRI Jamshedpur, in that order. The rankings were compiled on the basis of responses gathered from hundreds of MBA aspirants who ranked B-schools based on their perception of the B-school's brand. The B-schools in the report were spread out across the length and breadth of India - from Tiruchirappalli in the South to Mohali in the North, and Ahmedabad in the West to Shillong in the East. While the list of India's top mba colleges was a zoomed-out version of the B-school rankings, in this report, we delve deeper into the top MBA institutes across the 4 zones of India - North India, East India, West India and South India. We will also take a look at the Top-20 business schools in India, based on ownership, i.e., Private and State-Owned (Government). Top Business Schools In Western India

5 of the Top-15 MBA institutes in India belong to West India, including India's most desirable business school - IIM Ahmedabad. Within the Western zone, 70% of the Top-10 business schools are located in Maharashtra, and 60% of the Top-10 belong to Mumbai, the financial capital of the country. The average number of seats in the Top-10 B-schools of Western India is 245. Top names - IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Indore, SPJIMR Mumbai, JBIMS Mumbai, TISS Mumbai.

4 of the Top-15 MBA institutes of India belong to North India, including one of the Top-5 most desirable MBA institutes in the country - FMS Delhi. 60% of the Top-10 B-schools in North India belong to Delhi NCR, with 30% of the B-schools belonging to Delhi, the national capital of India. Top names - FMS Delhi, IIM Lucknow, IIFT Delhi, MDI Gurgaon. The average number of seats in the Top-10 B-schools of Northern India is 265.
