Xavier Aptitude Test, XAT 2023, to be conducted on January 8, 2023, across India is one of the leading MBA exams in India. As is the case for all major aptitude tests, the score vs percentile trend becomes one of the most crucial topics for all candidates appearing for the exams. This becomes a metric to gauge the relative performance, the cut-off, and of course, the chances of an interview call which in essence is a shot at converting the business school for your dreams. Our research predicts that the XAT 2023 cut-off will be the 96th percentile for the flagship Business Management program of XLRI and its equivalent for the Human Resource Management program will be around the 95th percentile.
A few other important details which will make the scoring trend clearer are – XAT is considered to be one of the most difficult MBA exams, the total score is 100 with +1 for every correct answer and -0.25 for every incorrect answer. In addition to this, a candidate loses 0.10 marks for every unanswered question once the count exceeds 8 and this is not applicable for the General Knowledge section which neither has a negative marking nor is considered in the calculation of the total percentile. While a candidate is free to navigate between sections (except the GK section) during the exam, there are sectional cut-offs too
On January 8th as soon as we have a better understanding of parameters like the difficulty level, count of test takers from those who have registered for XAT, the feedback from candidates, and our expert analysis, we will release an updated marks vs percentile split both for the overall exam as well as the individual sections. Hence, stay tuned to this space for all things XAT.
