The CAT 2023 response sheet released yesterday has generated anticipation among aspirants. If you've taken the CAT 2023 exam, you can know your expected percentile using InsideIIM's percentile predictor tool. This tool provides valuable insights into your potential CAT percentile. However, if the results fall short of expectations, we recommend shifting focus to XAT 2024 XLRI Jamshedpur is scheduled to administer the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2024 tentatively on Sunday, January 7, 2024. The examination will be conducted as a computer-based test, lasting for a duration of three hours and thirty minutes.  In addition to XLRI Jamshedpur and its Delhi NCR campus, over 150 MBA colleges will accept XAT scores for admission in 2024. The required percentile cutoff range for these colleges typically falls between 50 and 95+. The structure of the exam is expected to be similar to the previous year. XAT, organized by XLRI for the past several years, is one of the largest and compulsory entrance exams for admission into XLRI Jamshedpur and XLRI Delhi NCR. Various other esteemed MBA institutions such as XIMB, IMT, IMI, MICA, TAPMI, Great Lakes, and GIM Goa will also consider XAT scores for admission in 2024. It is worth considering these colleges and dedicating your efforts towards XAT 2024. If you couldn’t achieve your desired percentile in CAT 2023, now is the time to shift your focus towards achieving the coveted 99th percentile in XAT 2024. In this article, we will analyze the Score Vs percentile in the XAT examination for the past year.

What is the XAT 2024 pattern? The XAT Scorecard does not provide the XAT Score itself, but instead presents the XAT Percentage and XAT Percentile. The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) consists of a total of 76 questions, which are used to calculate the percentile based on merit. These questions are divided into three sections. The three sections are Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.  In the XAT exam, there are a total of 102 questions, with 101 of them being in multiple-choice format and 1 question requiring a descriptive essay response. Out of these, the 25 questions in the General Knowledge (GK) section are not considered when calculating the XAT percentile. Here is the question distribution  Section Wise Questions Distribution and Marks
Section Number of Questions Marks Allotted Maximum Marks
Verbal and Logical Ability 26 +1 for every correct answer -0.25 for every incorrect answer 26
Decision Making 22 +1 for every correct answer -0.25 for every incorrect answer 22
Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation 28 +1 for every correct answer -0.25 for every incorrect answer 28
General Knowledge 25 +1 for every correct answer -0.25 for every incorrect answer 25
Essay Writing 1 not used for evaluation of scores
What is the XAT exam Duration? XAT exam duration is 210 minutes- 175 minutes for Part 1 (DM, VALR, and QADI), 5 minutes for Part 2 (Mock Keyboard Testing), and 30 minutes for Part 3 (GK and Essay). There is no sectional time limit.

XAT PERCENTILE What is the XAT Percentile? A percentile is a metric utilized to assess the proportion of students in the merit list who rank above or below a specific individual. For instance, achieving a 70 percentile on the XAT exam indicates that 70% of the test takers obtained lower scores than you. Consequently, candidates with a percentile of 70 or higher can be considered part of the top 30 % among all the test takers. Percentile Vs Marks Distribution (XAT 2023) (Overall)
