The Final Merit list grand total = 2a (WAT-PI) + 2b
The Verdict -
IIM Kashipur will be awarding points for all the major criteria considered by other IIMs, with additional points for post-graduate applicants. Over 40% of the weight is given to the CAT score, therefore making it the most important factor to get a shortlist call from IIM Kashipur. Another major factor, which can be a pain-point for some aspirants, is the graduation score. Candidates with close to 3 years of work experience have the greatest advantage in terms of work experience. There is also a point allotted to those with 5 years of work experience, which can be an added advantage.
This elaborate shortlisting process with multiple components makes admission into IIM Kashipur a level playing ground for applicants with all kinds of backgrounds.
