My interview had a panel of three. As far as I remember, there were two faculties and one alumni. We discussed the answers on my form and then there was a lively discussion on my final year project and topics like machine learning were discussed in depth. This was because my project was in that domain. After I mentioned my interests, there was also a small discussion on finance, on Russia Ukraine geopolitical conflicts and a few general awareness questions.
This was the chillest interview I had in all the interviews I had. The panel was very friendly and it felt as if I was talking to my friends and not professors from IIT Bombay.
I was also asked if I was stressed about the interview and I mentioned I had gone to the theatres to watch The Batman movie the other night. The interviewers smiled and commented you definitely don’t seem stressed today.
After I mentioned my interests in cycling, there was a discussion on this too and I was appreciated for writing an answer in the form regarding weight loss.
After my interview, I shared my experience along side another interviewee with other candidates, who were put to a little ease hearing how chill it was.
My interview lasted for approximately 30 minutes.
We were free to conduct discussions with seniors and other candidates and explore the gather platform.
When I visited the college in real life this May, I was awed how accurately it was designed virtually on the platform.
The overall environment of this interview put me in good spirits, I had my Shillong interview just after and it was a smooth sail too thanks to the mood and comfort SJMSOM IITB interview set for me.
