It includes participation from across Bengaluru, Origins Cup is one of the biggest inter-college sports tournaments in the city. At Origins Cup, you will witness competitiveness and sportsmanship of the highest order, with opportunities offered in badminton, basketball, chess, cricket, football and table tennis.
Parallel to these, there are fun activities like quiz and on-ground activations.
The fourth year of this event tries to make it media relevant along with the sporting extravaganza with the inclusion of activities like Ad film competition, PR events, Street plays and Sports Photography competition.
The previous year saw over 16 renowned colleges participating in Origins Cup, proving their mettle in various sporting events. Hakimuddin Habibulla, renowned Olympic swimmer and participant of the Melbourne Olympics, attended the closing ceremony along with KV Unnikrishnan, Regional Manager of TVS Tyres, and the major sponsor of Origins Cup 2015. A front-page article was featured in the September edition of Deccan Chronicle covering the event.
This year the event will be recapturing the energy on a much grander scale. Origins Cup 2016, has associated itself with an NGO for a social cause as well as encourage the importance of sports across the city.
