35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide and is the third-largest Indian private
sector conglomerate.
Apart from tremendous numbers, the group has personally enriched the life of each and every
individual of the country in some way or the other and I believe that’s what places Aditya Birla
Group above its competitors.
Coming to how the group has affected my life I would share the memories associated with the
brand. Remember Freshwrapp ? The aluminum foil our mom used to pack our lunch to keep it
warm and fresh. After having our lunch we used to roll the aluminum and make it into a ball and
play cricket with the notebook as our bat. Before writing this article I called my dad and inquired
about the materials used to make our house. to my astonishment, even the cement used to
build my house is owned by Aditya Birla Group. Being an Idea sim user since owning my first
phone I can say with confidence that idea provides uninterrupted services in every corner of the
country.
There is nothing but respect and love from my side for the group for complementing our lives.
I truly believe in the vision and mission of the group. The organization which is based on values
of integrity, commitment, passion, seamlessness, and speed leaves very little scope for error.
In the end, I would just like to reiterate what Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla said, “our values provide
us with our roots and they provide us with our wings”
........
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
.........
I was always into sports since my childhood. I started my journey with swimming and played till
the state level. Then I got inclined towards karate and won National Level gold medal. It was
one fine day while browsing the internet I saw a video of Lionel Messi playing and was
dumbstruck with his magical control on the ball since then I started playing football and it
changed everything in my life. All the sports I had played previously were individual sports but it
was during football I learned leadership on a pitch. Being a quick learner I adapted myself to the
new sport and was soon made the captain of my school football team. Now it was not about my
individual performance it was all about how my team will perform, how we will play at the same
frequency and how we will collectively move towards our goal. I learned about the strength and
weakness of each player of my team and tried to capitalize on that to reap the full benefits of
what we had.
During my bachelors, I was a member of the Literary club of my college and facilitated the
joining of new members and organizing club activities. I learned to take feedback and implement
those feedback for our next task.
Since joining IIM RAIPUR I’m trying my best to implement all the things I have learned from my
past experience and move forward with a drive to make an impact irrespective of the hurdles I
will face in achieving my goal.
