1- Amazing faculty – Most of the faculty at IIM Nagpur are from IIM Ahmedabad and a few from other premium institutes. Needless to say the students have access to some of the best faculties of the country. The class discussions are extremely vibrant and learning is fun. Moreover, the professors give time to the students outside of the classrooms as well, where students can enquire about anything related to class or otherwise.
2- Field immersion Program – The field immersion is a unique program organized at IIM Nagpur for the students. For fifteen days, the students work at a private or government organization and help them in solving their day-to-day problems through the learning acquired by them in the classes. This program provides valuable experience to the students and they are better prepared for the internship program.
3- Case-study method – The case study method is used by many premier institutes of the world and is a great method of teaching. Here the students are put in the role of the people who were faced with a problem and then students come up with their solutions. It provides a good learning experience for the students when they see the problem through the eyes of business leaders.
4- Events – The students of IIM Nagpur participate in many events. Events are organized throughout the year by the various clubs at IIM Nagpur like Kubera, Who Wants To Be A Marketeer, Opera etc. In addition to these various sports events are organized with even an IPL like bidding of players.
5- Celebrating festivals – The students at IIM Nagpur believe in celebrating all the festivals. The students had a great time celebrating Holi, Diwali, and Christmas etc. It is an amazing experience for the students when they whole-heartedly celebrate the spirit of these festivals. It strengthens the bond among students and maintains a friendly environment in the campus.
6- City of Nagpur - According to a survey by ABP News-Ipsos, Nagpur has been identified as the best city in India by topping the liveability, greenery, public transport, and health care The city has been adjudged as the 20th cleanest city in India and the top mover in the western zone as per Swachh Sarvekshan 2016. Free from the hustle-bustle, pollution and noise, the city provides an ideal location for studies.
7- Diversity – Students from all over the country come to IIM Nagpur. This intermingling of diversity and culture makes the students understand the various cultures and people of India. The student bring in different ideas and values from their native places and gain new ideas from their peers.
8- Peer group – The students are with an excellent peer group, those who have succeeded throughout their life. Students enjoy working in groups among such peer groups. It brings out the best in them. They learn a lot from each other and help each other.
9- Late night canteen – Late nights are but a part of student life. The canteen at IIM Nagpur is open till late in the night so that the students can have their noodles and tea anytime they want.
10- Location - Nagpur is at the centre of India, making it one of the best locations in terms of accessibility. It is a cosmopolitan city and ranks 2nd in terms of literacy rate (89.5%) in Maharashtra, just behind Mumbai’s suburban district (Pune ranks 7th). The accessibility and location of Nagpur makes this IIM a special one.

Other institutes can definitely lay claim on few of the points. However faculty, curriculum, field immersion program, location and accessibility of Nagpur are some of the things which are highly specific to IIM Nagpur only.
