Since Independence Aditya Birla group has advanced into multiple sectors and spread its wings with the help of various brands and products. It’s a home brand. It’s not possible that even a single household will not have the products of Aditya Birla group. 

 

It wasn’t easy shifting from Nepal – Country of Mountains to India – Country of Multiple Cultures and settling in a new environment. Handling people’s prejudice about your country can be daunting at times. 

 

Nevertheless, with a heavy heart I entered the gates of my boarding school in Dehradun. Just then my father came running and handed me a package. When I opened it in my dormitory, it was an Allen Solly green color sweater. With a note saying when you feel the chills of your boarding school just hug this sweater so that you feel the warmth of our love. With passing years that sweater got small for me but the warmth it gave me never reduced. It was my go-to item in every difficulty I faced. Being away from parents it still gave me a sense of them being around. I never let go of that sweater for 8 years.

 

Dehradun had selected branded outlet in our time and Allen Solly was one of them. It was the must go brand of all the boarding school students in Dehradun whether you have to buy a dress, top or winter wear.

 

Then the next big event in my life was joining Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi for MBA (IB). But soon after the offer letter, uniform checklist started floating on the group. Which said mandatorily blue or black formals. I panicked but my parents suggested me to visit pantaloons in Mumbai where I would find both the brands – Van Heusen and Allen Solly. The top names in the world of business formals. 

 

After shopping, I was ready for my big day at IIFT, Delhi.  Just wearing that Navy-blue Allen Solly suit on the first day of college gave me sense of confidence and belonginess since when I looked around, I saw around more than half of the girls wearing the same navy-blue suit with the Allen Solly badge and I was shocked as to how huge the sales and marketing of Aditya Birla Group is.

 

How ABG has impacted my life?

 

Aditya Birla group has played a very big role in all the key turning points in my life. It has given me sense of home and sense of confidence and played a very instrumental role in making every new place I shifted to in India my new home. The turmoil’s I faced at boarding school and as new student at IIFT would have been really difficult to deal with without the products of Aditya Birla group which have come handy in every spear of my life.

 

It has played a key role in helping me face challenges of adapting to a new environment and new people and their different cultures. Hindalco’s Fresh wrap is something that always brings the smell of my home’s kitchen back to me. Forever 21 is one of my favorite brands for all the casual wear. 

 

Since I have myself been a very active in various social media activities. I Make in difference is the one of my favorite CSR activities of Aditya Birla Group. Putting smiles on 7.5 Million people annually. 50 years of this activity reaching people who are 60% below the poverty line is a massive achievement.

 

All in all, I must say if it was not for the products of Aditya Birla group I would have not been able handle a lot of challenges that I did.
