Why Aditya Birla Group is Big in my Life?
Since childhood, we all have definitely heard the name of companies like Ralph Lauren, Pantaloons, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Hindalco, Vodafone and UltraTech Cement. These are all brands that are associated with the Aditya Birla Group. Founded 162 years ago, in the year 1857, the company’s flagship company, Grasim was one of the first Indian company with international operations. The company has ever since expanded and shown the world that an Indian company can also compete with the world. Today, the Aditya Birla Group is well recognised not only in India but also worldwide. With being in the first position in Aluminium Rolling, Viscose Staple Fibre and Carbon Black and being second in telecom and 4thin Insulators, this company has made a place for itself in the global economy. Not only has it succeeded in the global market, but also in its own home country in areas of fashion, cement, viscose filament yarn, etc. The company has not only worked towards commercialisation but has also undertaken various CSR activities to give back to the society. From running 5,000 medical camps treating more than a million patients to educating 46,500 students along with providing them the resources to study well and stay healthy, the company has touched the lives of many. The Aditya Birla Group has always been one that I look up to. Being one of the first Indian organisation which operated internationally, the company makes me proud. The work culture of the organisation is also said to be one which is very supportive and employee friendly and even after years of it being in operations, it has provided many people to opportunity to work, learn and grow.
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambition in life so far?
Just like how an organisation has its ups and downs, the position that the company holds now shows that one needs to be patient and be committed to oneself, which in turn will lead to us being able to reach those great heights. My journey into the MBA program is one recent challenge that I have able to achieve after overcoming various hurdles. Already having a one year drop in college due to some personal reasons, the need to join an esteemed college had been my main goal. But preparing for it while undergoing major surgeries which required me to stay on bed rest and not study did come as a hurdle. The will power to overcome this and to never lose hope when there are many people to put you down is one situation I would never want anyone to go through. The hard work and commitment along with the positive attitude goes a long way. And now that I have completed a year in the course I want to be in, I make sure that I am always there to supports my friends and others who need it and motivating them through to try to help the overcome their fear and give their hundred percent and get the experience the happiness I felt when I was selected for this college.
