Aayush Jha: Best 50 | India's Most Promising Incoming MBA Students 2025 | IIM Sambalpur

Aayush Jha is a Computer Science graduate (Hons) from XIM University and an MBA student at IIM Sambalpur. As a Digital and IT Executive at XLRI Delhi-NCR, he worked to strengthen the campus's digital presence. He led a website redesign, achieved a 192% increase in LinkedIn engagement, and launched and edited a campus-tour video that received more than 20,000 views. His research paper on machine-learning medical imaging was published by Springer and has been cited more than 45 times. He also won the International English Olympiad and enjoys hyper-realistic sketching.

Aayush established and led XLRI Delhi-NCR's Digital Media team during the institute's foundational period. When he noticed that the YouTube channel was inactive, he launched video series including "Portraits of XL" and "Campus Connect." He also edited a campus-tour video from scratch that received more than 20,000 views. The work required coordination across departments, management of external stakeholders, and a balance between creative vision and institutional requirements.

As a Digital and IT Executive at XLRI Delhi-NCR, Aayush managed the digital ecosystem, including website development, social-media strategy, content creation, and IT infrastructure for flagship events. He coordinated with external marketing agencies and stakeholders across departments during the campus's expansion phase. The role required technical proficiency, creative strategy, and dependable event operations.

Aayush combines published research, digital-transformation work, and measurable outcomes. At XLRI Delhi-NCR, he helped build the Digital Media team, addressed technical errors, improved engagement, and created content that continues to perform. His Springer publication, International English Olympiad win, and artistic pursuits reflect the analytical rigour and creativity he brings to cross-functional work.

He brings systematic problem-solving with measurable outcomes. His technical skills include Python automation, web development, and data analysis; his work experience includes stakeholder management, agency coordination, and digital strategy. The 192% LinkedIn growth and high-view campus video show the marketing side of his work, while his publication demonstrates analytical depth.

Aayush is working on balancing attention to detail with time efficiency. He researches solutions thoroughly and can spend too much time refining details, such as creating multiple versions of the campus-tour video. Through MBA group projects and placement-committee work, he is learning to set clear completion criteria, respect deadlines, and define an appropriate quality threshold.

When XLRI's accounts team struggled with bulk mailing, Aayush researched alternatives and implemented solutions that remain in use. The same approach carried into his undergraduate thesis, published research, and independent content initiatives. Balancing full-time work, thesis publication, and MBA interviews required focus under pressure. His attention to detail also appears in his hyper-realistic sketching.
