Part B: Personal challenge
At the core of the ABGLP program are people who drive to make an impact, irrespective of what challenges they face. One of the most difficult challenges that I faced was when I got injured playing the sport I love the most that is football. It is a beautiful game and I love to play it. I used to play football whenever I got time and had the dream to represent India in football.
But life had a different path for me, one day while playing I got injured badly. I was taken to hospital where the doctor said that I will never be able to play any sport again. Those words crushed my heart, being athletic and winner of many events in my school days it was a shock that was too much to bear.
However, I did not give up. I went into physiotherapy strengthened myself. My friends and family supported me and after over 2 years of intense therapy and self control I was able to return to the field.
This long journey has taught me many lessons. It has instilled in me the never giving up attitude.
