Part A

ABG and its many brands have made a huge impact in India. Right from Vodafone-idea to Loius Phillipe and Ultra tech Cement ABG has a presence everywhere. Vodafone-idea connects countless number of people and have an emotional connect with them as it helps them speak with their loved ones anytime and from anywhere and I have the same connect with ABG. Loius phillipe lets the youth of the country express themselves through their fashion sense and it helps me shine not just with my achievements but with my attire too. The countless structures built in India with ultratech cement, as the advertisement says, gives people a sense of belief in their minds and it gives me the same feeling of safety and security.

ABG with a legacy of 162 years has ventured into many businesses. And they have managed to give employment to lakhs of people and the number of families directly linked with ABG for their livelihood is huge. The fact that there are so many families dependent and the brand “Aditya Birla Group” has stood the test of time indicates that people repose their faith in organizations that are reliable. Such faith is the testament to the fact that ABG is now worth more than US $44 billion. And this faith will continue to live on as ABG as their mission itself is “To deliver superior value to our customers, shareholders, employees and society at large”.

Countless number of people have taken loans from Aditya Birla Capital. They have achieved their dreams thanks to ABG and same is case with me. The small things that I could associate myself with ABG have led me to do bigger things in life.

Part B

Challenges are what keeps us going and makes life interesting. One of my ambitions was to try and do something extraordinary in life as that is something that I had not done. While in the 2nd year of my under graduation I found interest in Speedcubing. Speedcubing the hobby involving solving a variety of twisty puzzles, the most famous being the 3x3x3 puzzle or Rubik's Cube, as quickly as possible. Most of them learn to solve the rubiks cube and leave it at that. I wanted to take it to the next level. I kept practicing a lot and learnt many new methods to do it. Slowly I started learning even more challenging puzzles too. Along with learning to master solving the cube I also started to organize competitions for speedsolving. The major challenge that I faced while trying to get fast was there were times when I found myself stagnating at certain time and for days together I wasn’t able to improve my timings. This is where my perseverant attitude helped me. I have always had the quality of being patient while being in pursuit of something. These two qualities helped me overcome tough times. Within a year I reached from 3 minutes to just 18.5 seconds to solve a 3*3 rubiks cube. More importantly I was happy that I could be extra ordinary in some activity. Challenges are cornerstones to success is what I believe and I learnt a lot in the process of achieving my goal.
