Role Aditya Birla Group has played in making my life big
The above dissection of ABG should be considered as synonym of otherwise known as Aditya Birla Group, the 3rd largest Indian private sector conglomerate with a revenue of around $48 billion. ABG is a company which create products and transform life through some magical process. ABG groups has diverse product portfolio which includes cement, aluminium, copper, Idea cellular, life insurance, textiles, BPO and software services etc. Right from the childhood, I have been using ABG products somewhere or the other without even knowing about it.
As the tagline says “Taking India to the world”, the company has astonishingly set high standards and made the world feel the presence of India as an emerging global power. Ranging from my daily needs to fashionable items, ABG has covered it all. My house which is standing tall for past 10 years without even a single crack is because of high quality Ultra tech cement which is produced by ABG making us live and create lifelong memories. The phone calls which I make every day through Idea network is an outcome of great leadership at helm of ABG to drive digital growth of India. The pan India presence of Idea network is helping in rapid growth of youth and businesses without interruption. The clothes which I wear every day are purchased from one of the subsidiaries of ABG group. The formals which I wear in my MBA college are of Van Heusen or Louis Phillipe which provides premium fit and looks. The trousers, t-shirts are purchased from Pantaloons, Peter England. ABG has been the first choice for clothes of even my parents due to historic Jaya Shree Textiles.
The impact ABG has created in my life is intangible. While maintaining the quality, the group is successful over the world. The varied options they provide tempt me to buy their products. This way the company is making my life bigger every day.
Challenges I overcame to achieve my ambitions
I have been a bright student since my childhood. This continued till my 1st year of Engineering. But in 2nd year I got addicted to a game called Mini Militia. It can be described as starting of evolution of PUBG which we see today. I continuously used to play this game whether at home, class or while travelling. It seriously affected my studies. I was just on the brink of getting failed in 2 subjects of 3rd semester. Not just studies, it badly affected my health as I used to skip my lunch, dinner and eat junk food as it takes less time to eat so that I give more time to play Mini Militia. 1 day, I got caught while playing in class. My teacher took me to headmaster and they called my parents. Instead of scolding me, headmaster, teacher and my parents consulted me and brought me back to right path. They told me the importance of my life and career goals. Realising this, I went back to my old ways with redefined structure though I didn’t stop playing that game. I started managing my time keeping everyone happy and enjoying my life fully.
Another ambition of mine was to crack the CAT 2018. I started my tuitions with great enthusiasm. But slowly I got diverted due to increasing job work pressure. I used to work in support projects catering to my client’s needs 24*7. Finding time to study got difficult day by day. Then one fine day I pledged to talk to my team lead and manager and consult them about my situation. They helped me in prioritizing and gave me space to work and study. I started studying English and formulas of Quants in office during no work hours. My manager also made sure not to forward me task which is less important or not critical to give me time. I used to do problem solving questions at home after my office hours. This way I managed my study and cracked CAT 2018 with flying colours. Finally, I got admission to my dream college NITIE
