The biggest challenge one faces after graduation is being unemployed. I was graduated as a mechanical engineer from an institute and was offered a job in an IT company which I refused as it was not my interest in those days. I had plans of doing MBA from a renowned institute and that too with my ability. But, after writing CAT, I understood the way ahead is going to be a lot tougher as I got low percentile. Being a member of a big family were all relatives live closely, I was asked the same question a hundred times by many, “What’s your next plan?” .As my family became financially down during that period, I was forced myself to find alternative ways. I applied for GATE, Bank, RRB and other government exams but couldn’t crack final stages. Then I went in search of jobs but was unsatisfied with the offers. It was during this time my parents gave me full support and asked me to pursue my ambition of MBA. I joined a coaching institute and went with my preparations. But everything didn’t go as expected. When the results was out, I was mentally down as I got less percentile than expected. This was that period of my life where I could see all doors closed. I was fed up answering to the usual questions from everyone, but my parents stood by me. They even asked me to give a third shot at CAT. I was lost in a midway already wasting 2 years after my graduation and I don’t know what to do. In that darkness was a ray of hope that came to my life. I was offered admission in IIM Bodhgaya. That door just opens at the right time and I had accepted the offer wholeheartedly. The two years I spent knocking at many doors was a big challenge. I believe I can handle any failures in life because I had been through many. As Albert Einstein quoted,” You never fail until you stop trying”.
