Part A

ABG has been a constant companion in all phases of my life. ABG has been like a loyal friend who takes care of your wellbeing even at places where you didn’t expected it. I am from Bhopal and I have heard about “Birla” being a synonym for success all my life. As a child, I was eager to know what “Birla” is or more suitably, wanted to see its presence around me.  Until my adulthood, I didn’t knew that ABG was with me all along.

My Childhood

During the construction of my home, I saw big cement bags with “Ultratech Cement” written over them. But I was living in ignorance and didn’t knew that it is related to the same “Birla” name, I was looking out for.

Then, during my school days, I always wanted warm home cooked meal in school. My mother used to wrap my snacks around Aluminum foil. The brand of the foil was “Freshwrapp”.

My Teenage period

Being a millennial, I was smitten by the adoption of mobile and internet technology. All I wanted was a good network with affordable prices. “Idea” network was the solution to my teenage troubles and the “what an idea, sirji” campaign was one of my first active reception of a great attractive marketing campaign. This was the time, I began to saw ABG around me. But still, I was unaware about the scale of it.

My Adulthood

I have a hobby of fashion blogging. For that purpose, I need to do some market research to be updated and Pantaloons & Forever 21 are my one stop solution.

In recent times, I was preparing for job and MBA interviews. For that purpose, I was in need of formal clothes. I tried to consult few working professional relatives for best alternatives. They told me to go for Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Peter England and Allen Solly.

But this time in life, I am fully aware that my life is revolving around ABG brands.

ABG has been a constant companion and is a huge part of my life.

Part B

. My life has been a combination of success and failures like most people, but unlike most people, I have always tried to learn from my mistakes and tried to not repeat them. It has been a tough task because sometimes it led to self-beating for the problems I faced, even when external factors had major role to play in that. My biggest learning is that analyze every situation from a neutral perspective and then evaluate the learnings.

My biggest ambition in life is to become so self-reliant and independent that I can take care of others as well. The biggest challenge I faced to achieve that was to find the right path. I struggled and tried multiple options. I started with medical preparation, then moved towards Engineering. These choices were really good but they were not my intrinsic decisions, my external environment played a bigger role to drive me to those choices. I realized this once I started living those decisions.

So, I self-introspected to figure out my end goal, which I did, and then I started to analyze my interests and hobbies from a neutral perspective. To figure out what career path to pick which will ultimately help me to achieve my end goal. I tried multiple things to arrive at the conclusion that having a career in HR will help me best to achieve my goal and it is most closely related to my skill sets.

After that, I listed all my options. But this time I was self-aware that all I can control is my effort, not the output. So I did that and got into SIBM Bengaluru
