“Ordinary people can give extraordinary results, given an opportunity. You have to train people by delegating authority to them.”

– Mr. Aditya Birla

I believe that there is no Indian whose life hasn’t been touched and impacted by the Aditya Birla Group. Its tagline – “Big in your life” clearly states what the brand ABG stands for. Over the years ABG has been thriving to improve lives of millions of people through its cutting edge technology. Aditya Birla Group is the conglomerate which can be seen at almost all the places and also in all walks of life. From fashion to food wrappers, telecommunications to online banking, cement industry to the chemical industry, fabrics to carbon black, it is present everywhere and also has impacted our lives in a big way. It’s not only a conglomerate, but it is also a brand with which everyone wants to associate.

Having a strong presence across the life insurance, asset management, lending (excluding Housing), housing finance, equity & commodity broking, wealth management and distribution, ABG has truly changed the lives of INDIANS.

The day I embarked upon my MBA journey the most important thing was formal clothes. Which without any doubt are nothing less than skin for an MBA aspirant. For my formal clothes at looked at Van Heusen. Apart from providing me with a plethora of options, Van Heusen staff’s courtesy left a long lasting impression on me. The amount of confidence that I was able to experience after wearing Van Heusen can’t be expressed in words.

Apart from clothing Aditya Birla Group’s IDEA has always proven to be my buddy. Idea vision to create world class digital experiences to connect and build a better tomorrow has always inspired me. Through its payments gateway ABG has surely provided an impetus to Digital India.

Over the years ABG has truly touched lives of millions and I can proudly say that I am one of them.

Biggest Challenge of My Life

The biggest hurdle of my life has been: coming out of my shyness. In my school I had a tendency to stay to myself and not interacting much with the people. I started to find solace in loneliness. But soon after joining the college I realized that I can’t survive alone. It is important to not only interact with people but also to build and nurture friendship. But it is easier said than done. Even after you realize your weakness it is difficult to accept it and work on it. It took me a lot of effort, hard work and baby steps to improve. The biggest change came when I started embracing failures rather than being afraid of the embarrassment it would bring to me.  Slowly and gradually changes started to become apparent. I joined a couple of clubs and committees to get to know more people and interact with them. Rising in hierarchy in those clubs filled me with confidence to go extra mile. In the end I would like to conclude by saying that failure is a part of life as much as success is and challenges makes you feel alive. Everything that comes to us easy may or may not hold value in our life but a goal achieved by overcoming challenges will bring learning and value to our life.
