The universe never conspires against you, but neither does it go out of its way to line up the pins. The stars never align in a straight line and nor does the traffic lights of life are all green at the same time. Conditions are never perfect. If it’s important to you and you really want to do it, you just go for it and correct the fallacies along the way. This has been aptly and consistently proved correct by one of the India’s largest private sector conglomerate for the past 162 years. Anchored by an extraordinary force of more than 120,000 employees and an impeccable leadership, Aditya Birla Group has successfully built a strong foundation of shareholder value creation. Being active in 14 industry sectors, this group has achieved global and national leadership in several businesses. Be it Forever 21, Corino, Oxywhite, Freshwrapp or even Birla Carbon, the Birla Group has undoubtedly enriched the lives of Indians conspicuously. From aiding in creating unswerving homes through UltraTech Cement to providing sought after clothes that makes an individual look more charismatic and likeable , Aditya Birla Group has surely etched its mark on our lives till eternity. It has not only impacted our lives by providing quality products from renown brands but has also left an imprint through its social activities. Even by staying in India, the group has made a mark on the globe as a reservoir of intellectual capital and has worked on larger issues like poverty in tandem with the government, district authorities and NGOs. Transcending cheque-book philanthropy, the group has taken social responsibility with a seriousness akin to a business project. Through initiatives such as Aditya Birla Rural Technology Park, Self Help Groups for Women, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital which never turns down the poor from its doors and Adult Literacy Programs, Aditya Birla Group has made social vision as an integral part of their business vision.

“Let not the fruits of your action be thy motive”. This statement has always motivated me to work hard without being constantly worried about the outcomes. Sometimes I won, Sometimes I learnt. I believe that to be a real champion, you must always see the big picture. It's not about winning and losing. It is about thriving every day challenges with utmost dedication which makes you embrace the pain that you experience throughout the journey of life with positivity and optimism. Being from a science background, the decision to pursue MBA was always being judged. I strongly espouse the idea that when we face a dilemma there are two voices that speak inside us. One is of mind and other is of consciousness. Usually people listen to the voice of their tuned and calculative mind and gradually the voice of consciousness recedes and stops flaring up, though it is always in the back of mind.  Listening to that voice when everyone around spoke exactly opposite is the only thing that leads to the road of self-confidence. Trusting that voice and following the path which feels right for yourself has been my key of survival in this world of complexities and hardships. Even after hectic and tiring schedules if you can take out time for the things you love, at the end of the day, complacency titles you as the winner and this is what life is all about- Being a winner every day.
