The term that strikes my mind once I hear “Aditya Birla Group” is “Performance Driven Group”. Since its inception, Aditya Birla Group has offered innovative merchandise and services. It is one of the first Indian businesses to put Indian on the world map, as far back as 1969, long before globalization became a buzzword in India. Anchored by 120,000 employees belonging to 42 different nationalities, Aditya Birla Group is home to varied cultures and traditions operating across 14 industry sectors. Aditya Birla Group blends culture to fashion through its fashion and retail chain - Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFR). I remember my childhood days when I used to get fascinated by the fact that a brand named ‘Peter England’ belonged to an Indian business group. The group is committed to contributing towards creating a truly 'Digital India' by enabling millions of citizens to connect and build a better tomorrow through Vodafone Idea Limited which is India's leading telecom service provider. Having resided in Mumbai, whenever I think of Bandra-Worli Sea link, I figure the logo of Aditya Birla Group – which has played a significant part in building it through its popular company – UltraTech Cement Limited which is the largest manufacturer of cement in India. Aditya Birla Group has a big place in my life by creating an opportunity for the large and diverse population of our country to experience its brands at first hand and contributing to quality product and value-added services. I take immense proud to mention that Aditya Birla Group is playing a big role in my life.

If your first instinct is to run away from failures, then perhaps you’re doing it the wrong way! This is Mr Kumar Mangalam Birla's (Chairman of Aditya Birla Group) mantra which inspires me to overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions in life. The first biggest challenge came in my life when I had to make a switch from a small town, Jalgaon, to a metropolis, Mumbai for my graduate studies. The fast-paced and competitive lifestyle of Mumbai looked like a huge challenge for me to get accustomed to. However, I perpetually backed myself to overcome this challenge and never had a second thought about it. This challenge has changed my outlook toward life. The exposure I got here from my hostel life has improved my interpersonal skills. This has evolved my personality from a passive to a confident person. Moving out of my home has made me aware of my responsibilities. The next major challenge in my life came when I was elected as the Secretary of Social Responsibility Team of my college. Before this, I never had any experience of leading such a large team. I believe, a business is only as good as people who run it. I took this position of responsibility to sharpen my leadership and team-building skills. Initially, I targeted on strengthening my team dynamics by knowing about team members and defining their roles and responsibilities because I feel that they have a strong impact on how the team performs. We then formulated the action plan for all the events to be conducted over the year. All these efforts were fruitful as we successfully organized and managed the planned events.
