Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life?
There are very few conglomerates that have an impact on people’s lives. Because they have a variety of quality products and they care about the environment, society, and employees. Aditya Birla Group is one of these very companies which continuously strive at making themselves better. They always reach an extra mile to show their commitment one such case is that Birla Cellulose assessed the environmental footprint and life cycle assessment of all its products. It also conducted India's first supply chain mapping project to trace sources of the resources used in its products. As a consumer, I never used any Aditya Birla Group product before my 12th. But everything started with me spending the most important phase of my life at BITS Pilani which has taught me valuable lessons and given me the friendships I will never forget. During my second year of the college I ported my sim to Idea which had better connectivity, it has now matured to Vodafone Idea Limited Network which caters to 92% of the population. Being the son of a textile engineer, it was never easy to buy clothes. But this no longer was the case when I started to use Peter England, Van Heusen and other Aditya Birla Group products. So now most of the clothes in my closet are filled with Aditya Birla Group products. After getting a nod from Andhra Pradesh environment ministry for 2500 crore project in June 2019 for UltraTech Cement, Aditya Birla Group has had an even bigger role to play in my life. For all of the above reasons, Aditya Birla Group has a special place in my life.
Life presents everyone with multiple opportunities and the responsibility to recognize and seize an opportunity rests with the individual. Life also puts people in tough situations. At this juncture, I want to highlight a topic which was given to me in a recent class “Tough Times Never Last Tough People Do”. Which emphasizes the importance of staying strong to achieve a goal. Being a mere mortal, I was faced with multiple challenges and I would like to highlight some of these and how I overcame them in the due course of time. After securing an admit from BITS Pilani, I was filled with mixed emotions, feeling apprehensive more than happy. I have never been away from my parents and this was the first time that I was away for more than 2 weeks. Staying outside Andhra Pradesh combined with an unfamiliarity with the predominantly spoken Hindi language in pilani compounded my woes. To cope with the situation, I spent time with the friends I had made, played football and involved with various club activities in the college. These activities and my friends helped me to overcome my jitters. Later years I have organized multiple events like RAW and Istrike during APOGEE, a technical fest at BITS Pilani in which people from multiple colleges participated. In every challenge, that I have faced in my journey of life I was never alone I had my family, friends who were always by my side to help me overcome difficult situations.
