Part A: How Aditya Birla has Impacted my life-
There is a very old saying “ CLOTHES MAKE THE MEN ”. This holds true for almost every situation in our day to day life. People judge you on the basis of your appearance and everything from our background to our character to our feelings/ emotions can be judged by the way you dress.
I started the first day of my professional career wearing a formal navy blue coloured shirt of one of the most elite brand “ ALLEN SOLLY “. The confidence that it gave me was immense and I was able to make an impression and as they say “ First impression is the last impression”. The first impression certainly made an impact. Till the time when I was with my company I was valued for my work and the respect I that I was able to gain would not have been possible otherwise.
Then the first Suit I wore for my very first B- school interview was of Van-Heusen. I was nervous and was under a tremendous pressure. But again a good attire gave me the confidence to walk into that room. I was able to create an impression and then those 30 minutes just fell like a discussion rather than an interview.
But again Aditya Birla group has not only improved our dressing sense. But it has contributed in improving our lifestyle in diverse ways. “Idea” was my first SIM card and since then I have never felt the need to look anywhere else. “Freshwrapp” is a part of life since my childhood when my mom used to wrap the hot chapaties in it which remained hot even after several hours and gave me the pleasure of BON- APETITE.
In true sense, Aditya Birla has made an everlasting impact in my life and has contributed to my transformation from a timid child to a confident adult.
Part B: How I overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far-
The biggest challenge of my life came in the year 2017 when I lost my father. In fact there was not just one challenge but I faced multiple challenges that I faced during that course of time.
It was the final semester of my graduation and I was already placed in a big multinational corporation. But my joining came at the time when my family needed me to be there with them and so I decided to not join the company. I gave CAT with full-fledged preparation and got some good calls but was not able to convert the colleges that I desired.
I decided to give CAT another try but now I needed a job since I already got a gap of one year after my graduation and my profile was getting affected by it. So, now the biggest challenge in front of me was to find a job as soon as possible and also try to find a relevant job that would eventually help me during my MBA. I tried to stay as calm as I can during that time and didn’t panic. I came to Bangalore in search of a job and gave some exams and got multiple job offers within one month. Eventually I joined a fin-tech as a credit analyst.
I learnt multiple things during that course of time. I became more responsible in life. Also I realised that calmness was my biggest strength and that helped me sail through the most difficult time of my life.
