Aditya Birla Group is a name heard by most people in India whether knowingly or unknowingly. All through my life Aditya Birla Group brand shave been a big part of my life even though I didn’t realise it at that time. I used to take my lunch in school wrapped in the aluminium foil which kept it warm. At that time, I used to think that the aluminium foil is called freshwrapp. In school during lunch, me and my friends used to collect freshwrapp foils and play class cricket which is one of the fondest memories of my life.
When it came to selecting a sim for good connection Vodafone Idea has been a preference for me and my family for years. It has gotten us out of quite a few troublesome situations due to its brilliant connectivity. I amusing the sim even here at IIFT.
Fashion has always been a tricky subject for someone like me. So, when I went to my college, the biggest dilemma I faced was to how to get myself up to-date. My sister suggested me stores of Van Heusen and Peter England to get formals and to get smart casuals from Allen Solly. I was sceptical about these brands as such but when I went into the stores, I was blown away by the quality and style of the products. They helped me in presenting myself in a much better way and I’ve been using them ever since.
Therefore, I can say for sure that Aditya Birla Group has played an important part in my life.
Winning my personal battle
“There is a 95% chance that it’s RA and it happens rarely to people at your age.” When I heard those words, my heart sank. Here I was an 18-year-old sitting in front of a doctor who had just diagnosed me with Rheumatoid arthritis. I was about to begin my graduation with my dreams and aspirations but this disease had been holding me back and it now had a name. I left the hospital distraught thinking whether my whole life will be like this; swollen hands, living on painkillers, unable to walk. It was a terrifying prospect. I needed someone to talk to.
Fortunately, I am blessed with so many amazing people in my life who are willing to listen to me. I talked to my parents, sister, friends. They all assured me that we’ll get through it together and that they trusted me. After hearing that people believed in me, I got the courage to pick myself up and go forward. It wasn’t as easy as said. My ambitions were hampered, physical health was gone. I met with multiple doctors, tried different medicines and even after disappointments, kept going. My career was going astray but I kept a positive outlook about things and kept on believing. Finally, after struggling for almost two years and facing multiple failures, I managed to find the permanent cure. Once that happened, I worked hard and now I am writing this article while being a student of a prestigious B-school as IIFT. I can only say to my disease, “Blessing in disguise”.
