In the millennial era, we are so occupied with our fast-paced lives that we are oblivious to the working behind our day-to-day demands, as small as a pen. I realised this while going through the Aditya Birla Group website and looking at the various brands I associate myself with, which come under the umbrella brands of one of the oldest conglomerates of India.
Right from providing us with a reliable, firm house I have grown up in, to fulfilling my occasional desires of buying a dress or a fancy pair of shoes, ABG has impacted my life significantly. A very recent example of this can be my shopping experience right before moving to Mumbai to embark on a challenging phase of my life. I bought almost my entire collection of formal wear from Van Heusen and Allen Solly, the two brands I have trusted most for its variety, quality and durability of apparel. During college, I used to leverage every opportunity I got to shop from Forever 21 and Pantaloons. The stores would be crowded irrespective of the day and time of week, but the wait used to be worth it every time. Its plethora of apparel, accessories, cosmetics and shoes could be easily covered under my college budget because of their reasonable prices.
There are many brands of ABG I haven’t explored yet, but I look forward to the day I will buy a Ralph Lauren dress and a Ted Baker bag to experience the premium brands of the world.
