I may not have direct relation to this corporation but it has been a part of every emotion I have experienced over the 26 years of my life. The house that has seen me growing up has been made using Ultratech Cement. The formal clothing that I wore to my office for three consecutive years is from Allen Solly. The Van Heusen handbag that my mother carries with pride belongs to this corporation. The Telecom network that helps me stay connected with my family is an Aditya Birla Group partner. This group brings in the little moment of joys in our hectic life schedule. We may not notice it in the hustle bustle of our busy lives but Aditya Birla Group has silently taken care of every emotion of our lives. There is no denying to the fact that this group has ingrained into our culture.
Be it Apparel, Technology, Banking, Telecom, Construction - Aditya Birla Group has made and maintained its presence in the market and has successfully catered to our needs.
This is what this corporation has taught me over the years. In my previous workplace I was given various roles to play. I was put to different teams where I had completely different roles to perform. And I had very minute knowledge of everything that I was being put through. I was completely in despair believing that being from technical background I did not have the pre-requisite skills in order to flourish in the organization. But these different roles turned into opportunities that helped me learn various diverse field of work. And it was to my perseverance that I did not give up and performed successfully well thereby achieving some historic results in my organization. At the end of my tenure, I had an experience of various fields which helped me transform my personality. The company’s vision of becoming a global conglomerate and having a clear focus on each and every brand is what I now strive to achieve in my life.
Another aspect that affects me deeply is related Mr. K.M Birla- son of the company’s founder and the Chairman, who beat all odds and has risen above all the challenges he faced when he first took over this company after his father’s death. He was only 28 years old when he took over the reins of the conglomerate. This provides a great learning on how you can strive through the difficult times by believing in yourself no matter how different you approach is. You may fall the first time but you should always get up, learn from your mistakes and work hard for your goals. You should never fear to do something different. I worked hard, pushing my limits to contribute as much as I can to the organization where I was working.
Aditya Birla Group has helped me learn that we should go for every opportunity that the life has to offer just as it has grown into a global corporation working in 14 diverse industrial sectors.
