Aditya Birla Group has a presence spanning across industries and is a name recognized by many. But for me, my long-established contact with the group has been through its fashion retail group. In retrospect, ABFRL has been my go-to option for different things at different times. As a child, I remember shopping at Pantaloons with my parents. Years later, it is now a fond memory of family bonding. As I grew older and began shopping with friends instead of family, I can think of numerous hours spent at the Forever 21 in a nearby mall. Forever became our gateway to a world of inexpensive high street fashion. Recently my shopping experience came full circle when I decided to buy a shirt for my father with my first salary. Our shopping experience at Peter England was reminiscent of old times and is a testament of ABFRL catering to our each and every need. For me the group is big in my life simply because of the experiences associated with it.
How I overcame challenges in my life
I was never in the habit of studying much, neither was I particularly bright as a student. However, something changed in my tenth grade. I decided to change my mindset and start working towards my goals with a renewed vigor and passion. After that time period, I have never looked back. I feel like the key to overcome any and all challenges that stand in your way is by simply not being afraid of failure. It was a difficult choice to choose to not go for CA when all your friends are doing the same or to go for an MBA without any work experience. But by not being afraid of failing, I have risen to the occasion and eventually overcome any internal doubts. Another thing that has helped is keeping the end goal in front of my eyes. If the big picture is clear then joining the little dots becomes easier.
