Public Speaking - I went overboard
Challenges are a part of everyday life. They make us stronger and without them life becomes somewhat meaningless because we have nothing to compare the good times to.
These challenges come in many forms. For some, the challenge is doing well at school, for others it is getting to grips with financial worries.
But, regardless of the challenge, facing up to it is key. Doing so will make you feel like you can take care of yourself, it will also make you understand the value of what you have now.
Even though I was a very extrovert child but somehow, I grew a fear of public speaking during my 11th standard. When I entered college, somehow this challenge expanded on seeing such multitude of talent peers. I decided to tackle this challenge head on. I auditioned for the stage team as a stage anchor. I came through. I practiced day and night in front of the mirror, so I don’t screw up on the stage. My friends encouraged me and taught me the intricacies of it. How to handle the stage fear and to be confident on stage. I was responsible for introducing the Guest and I came through. Later, I performed a group stage too. The video was widely shared among my peers. I was congratulated by my seniors and juniors like.
This is how I overcame my fear of public speaking and this helped me later on while interacting with notable people of the industry like CEOs, DMs, and IPS level cadre officers of the Smart City SPVs.
