“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.”

Challenges are a part and parcel of life. They test your resilience towards difficult or unknown situations.

The biggest challenge that I’ve faced till now was to make a decision whether to accept a new job offer a couple of months before SNAP ’17 exam or to reject it while leaving the current job to prepare solely for SNAP.

It was the summers of 2017 when I decided to resign from the job as I was not able to devote efforts for SNAP preparation but as it goes, unplanned things happen when you meticulously plan the things! A week before the last working day at the job, I just casually gave a job interview and ended up receiving a job offer.

Now the dilemma was whether to accept that offer or prepare solely for SNAP which I had planned. And at that point just one question struck me – If I can’t overcome challenges today and manage both – a new challenging job and SNAP preparation simultaneously, how will I convince recruiters at B School tomorrow that I can be an effective manager? Without thinking further, I accepted the offer and at the same time started putting all my efforts into SNAP preparation as well.

Not only I got an admit into an SIBM Bengaluru but bagged summer internship at the dream organization as well! Someone has rightly said – ‘Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful’
