Aditya Birla Group presence in my life is massive
To start off, I am an MBA student; I am pretty well versed with the significance of formal wear and business formals. ABG’s companies like Louis Phillipe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England and provide a wide range of products in optimal price ranges. Some of the formal clothing purchased by me is part of Aditya Birla Group. I even wore formals form Allen Solly brand for my CAP interview. Even Pantaloons has a big impact in my family. Since the inception of Pantaloon branch in Vizianagaram my family always visit Pantaloon store whenever they want to buy some cloths.
Second, India’s largest cement company UltraTech Cement speaks for its volume. For various constructions all over India UltraTech is used by wide range of people. For some renovation works of my house I used UltraTech Cement.
Third, ABG has established many temples in India with magnificent designs. These temples are commonly known as Birla Mandir. I have been to Birla Mandir which is located in Hyderabad.
Forth, I am from a family with agricultural background. My father and grandfather mostly buy the Saktiman products which is a product of Aditya Birla group.
Fifth, Aditya Birla Group also helped in improving the quality of living is some villages in India. They worked in more than five thousand villages and helped in improving education and health care.
Knowingly or unknowingly Aditya Birla Group has become a big part of mys life and my family life. I wish it continues in the same way in the future also.
PART-B
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far
I was born in a family with Agricultural background in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. Though my father is a farmer he never compromised when it comes to my education and always supported me. At school I was one the bright student. But things changed from then. I completed my Under Graduation in Mechanical Engineering from GITAM University. I attended almost seven interviews and couldn’t able to clear the interview rounds. Every time I used to clear the written test conducted by the companies and then in the interview I used to fail. I completed my graduation without any job offer. Maybe because of lack of communication skills or some other reasons I could not get placed.
Then I prepared for GATE exam. I qualified GATE and got admission for M Tech Machine design in JNTU Kakinada. This time I co-ordinated some of the national level workshops like TAME-16, Manufacturing of Advanced Materials, Recent Advancements in Mechanical Engineering. These things helped me to improve my social skills and managing skills. By the time I completed my PG from JNTU Kakinada I was able to bag two job offers with me.
I joined CYIENT as a Design Engineer. I worked there for 20 months. I even achieved Distinguishable Contributor rating for my work at CYIENT (The highest rating an employee can achieve at CYIENT). Then I attempted CAT exam without any preparation. I cleared CAT exam with 96.96 percentile. Then I joined IIM Bodh Gaya. Currently I am pursuing MBA at IIM Bodh Gaya. From the guy who got rejected in seven interviews to the same guy who got Distinguishable Contributor rating and an admission in IIM Bodh Gaya. This is my story.
