Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
The Aditya Birla Group is one of the most trusted names in Indian households. Coincidentally it was found during the same year the first revolt of Indian freedom struggle began. In 1857, no one would have thought that the group will become a metaphor for the heights this country would be achieving in the future.
One seldom finds a conglomerate having the expertise and the willingness to take part in the growth of a country on a scale as big as this. From the Bandra-Worli sea link connecting people faster than ever before to a smartphone enabling people to access the world on their fingertips in a remote village, from Indian Railways to the cars running on roads of metro cities that never sleep, it is hard to imagine any product we use without the contribution of ABG. The group’s diversity is not only a symbol of the growth of India in different sectors but by catering to the needs of people ranging from Banking through digital means to their fashion requirements, the ABG champions the idea of India. The all-inclusive model of growth where each and every need of people from different socio-economic backgrounds, different religions, locations, etc. are fulfilled.
ABG teaches us Indians that big dreams can be fulfilled. But something more important than fulfilling your dreams is to give your vision the utmost importance while being on top. This is something they have managed to wonderfully achieve through their Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, be it catering to educational or healthcare needs in remote villages or making those very same villages self-sustainable by pulling them out of poverty line and this is what makes Aditya Birla Group big in my life.
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far?
Just like the journey of an organization, the journey of a person is also full of challenges. Amazingly the solutions to these challenges require similar solutions, i.e. to keep your vision in mind, not letting setbacks affect you, making the most of an opportunity and to persevere.
Needless to say I, like everyone else, have suffered a lot of challenges in my personal life. Be it not being able to cope with academic pressure due to a sudden change in workload, dealing with the death of my best friend, or shattering of some relationships which I valued the most in my life. Sometimes all doors seem closed and these problems in life start affecting your attitude towards the way you use to tackle these.
But I am glad that even if it took some time and persistence as I had never shown earlier, I was able to eventually tackle a lot of these problems and all that not only helped me grab the opportunity to study in such a great institute but also helped me grow as a person, learning in the way and shaping myself as an individual. Today things seem much better and I believe that I with the guidance, support, and help of some amazing people on the way will continue to grow as a person and as a leader of the future on this beautiful little planet called IIM Kashipur.
